Diversity Academy is a creative learning program for young people who want to express their identity, expression, and social voice through art. In a safe environment, you'll collaborate, experiment, and grow as a creator and as a person. You'll work towards an exhibition, show, or other project.
Problem
The website required users to actively search for clarity. It was unclear what you could do, what the programs led to, and when or how to join. Trust was assumed rather than intentionally built. Also it was hard for the client to easy add a workshop themselves on the website.
Solution
The redesigned website is built around recognition, desire, and entry. Each program has a clear position, visual content is used to show outcomes and build trust, and the sign-up flow is designed as a low-threshold, safe first step. The site is fully CMS-driven, allowing future workshops to be added easily.
The visual identity already existed. My task was to make it work. I translated Diversity Academy’s self-developed style into a digital system that guides, activates, and supports the user rather than overwhelming them.
Color is used deliberately as a navigational tool. Each program has its own color, helping users orient themselves, recognize where they are, and move through the site with confidence. The result is a website that feels expressive and bold, while remaining clear, usable, and accessible.
